Hello! We’re the FactoryBox Team – we help support our community websites with their operational day-to-day running as well as head up overall strategy and vision. Like many of our volunteers, we’re the best of friends and love & embrace the potential of true community power.
Nathan – Executive Director
Aged 16 Nathan embarked on starting up a brand new RuneScape fansite, RuneZone. Working with two of his closest friends they built up a small community and team and have been growing it ever since. Excited with the success of RuneZone, having realised just how strong community spirit can be, the Network was founded. Now, Nathan heads up the Network with his best friends, Rebecca, Forrest and Brandon.
Responsible for overall standards, quality and results, he works alongside site managers to build the best communities possible.
Rebecca – Vice President of Human Resources
Rebecca has been apart of the Network for several years, starting out as a member of our RuneZone Media Crew. Like the Network, Rebecca doesn’t stand still, as she quickly progressed onto joining the Content Team, then within a short time ended up becoming Team Leader. Showing ultimate passion to the cause she joined the Senior Leadership team as Head of Staff.
Now, after extensive amounts of experience she heads up the overall staff & volunteer operation for the Network, from recruitment to individual staff performance and progression, as well as our rewards and benefits policies. She’s the definition of dedication and thrives daily to make sure our volunteers get the most out of their time with us.
Forrest – Vice President of Community Experience
Like Rebecca, Forrest joined the team in a junior role and soon found herself on the Senior Leadership team as Head of Community Relations. She’d also helped out Nathan directly as what we like to call his ‘personal manager’ – organising his e-mails and team schedule, introducing calm and organisation to his vocabulary.
As a champion of user rights, fairness and service she now serves proudly as the voice of the community – managing community policies, user concerns & feedback and implementing strategy for our multiple community support teams, she’s there for you, whenever you need it.
Brandon – Vice President of Technology
As Vice President of Technology for the Network, it’s Brandon’s responsibility to ensure that all of our services remain secure, fully functional, with as little downtime as possible. This includes all network websites and services, such as Teamspeak. Any bug fixes are swiftly taken care of by him, as are any upgrades required to ensure the Network remains stable.
He tells us the most rewarding part about this role is that he has a hand in the future development and progression of the Network and it’s various sites, both now and in the future. In real life, Brandon comes from a Computer Science background and currently work as a Web-Application developer. Technology as a whole has been a huge interest for him ever since he was young and feels its an honor and a pleasure to actually be dealing with his passion on a daily basis.
